the most odd stories written still life and if they are sufficient then not always, come along and put the filmmakers even after a gear. So also Richard Shephard, whose Hunting Party on the Esquire article What I Did on My Summer Vacation based. The film tells the story of two war correspondents. Simon (Richard Gere) and his cameraman Duck (Terrence Howard) were the best team, to Simon during a live report on the civil war in Yugoslavia, loses control and loses his job as a consequence. Duck, however, is promoted and given a quiet studio job. Their paths cross, five years later in Bosnia, as a Duck for a report must fly there. Their reunion Simon tells him about his idea to interview the Boghdanovic wanted war criminals, because he knew through contacts whose whereabouts.
From hunting fever gripped the cozy office job and bored, Duck and agrees with the son of the station chief, Benjamin (Jesse Eisenberg), do it relates to the search. Five journalists have been born in a beer-soaked round, made the search for Radovan Karadzic, and came closer to him than all the public places before. With this in mind having to appear quite a few scenes in the movie much more biting and bizarre and they also make up the charm when the come three to a wanted poster of the U.S. government, on which a telephone number is printed, which operates only within the U.S., they meet with NATO officers who have either full or they keep coming disinterest for a "hit team" of the CIA and establish contacts that could lead to success.
All these events stand out and put on one side, of course, great fun, but sometimes leave a shake of the head in the face of events. Apart from slight modifications of the original story waiting for the movie to a different ending, but it is mentioned that this is invented, and some other film-specific changes. Specifically, the love story built around Simon, is to explain his motivation, acts out of place and set up, while the end may well live, and it also provides material for discussion. Problematic in Hunting Party scenes, however, is re-cut out of absurd comedy to the reality of war. Those changes seem less balanced, even partially disrupt the rhythm of the otherwise lightly staged film and can cause the bond is lost to the audience. One can also argue that the most complex issue of war in Yugoslavia is not discussed but this self-entitled decidedly not the movie. Remains behind a mostly good picture, which is also due to Richard Gere and Terrence Howard, who can play this lighthearted, including the at that time (2007) still relatively unknown Jesse Eisenberg. Suitable for a movie night with The Lord of War : 6.5 / 10
